Express Turbo

Please note: This yeast is designed to be used with the Super Reflux Still and should not be used with the Air Still.

Express is the fastest Turbo Yeast on the planet, fermenting out 6kg of sugar in less than 24 hours, and producing a very good distillate quality, at up to 13% ABV.

It is important that the water start temperature is correct and only 6kg of sugar is used to get maximum speed.

As with all Turbo Yeasts, Express further benefits from being used with Turbo Carbon.

Instructions

  1. First prepare water making sure that is as close as possible to 40°C (104°F).
  2. Adjust the temperature if necessary with hot or cold water.
  3. Adjust the water start volume to exactly 21 litres (4.6 gallons).
  4. Now add 6kg (13lb 4 oz) of granulated sugar, sucrose or dextrose and stir until completely disolved.
  5. Add the yeast by sprinkling on the surface, and stir well.
  6. Rest the lid loosely on the fermenter and leave to ferment for 24 hours at an air temperature of between 20-30&degC (68-86°F). The ideal air temperature is 25°C (77°F) which will give the fastest fermentation time.

Important

To achieve best quality alcohol then it is important to use Turbo Clear after fermentation.
