I don’t know if it’s all the holidays abroad that we seem to be going on but we have seen a real upsurge in demand for a wrought iron wine rack. Perhaps it’s all the Bodegas we visit where there is a wrought iron wine rack on every wall in the place full of beautiful Rioja Gran Reserva wine just ready to be drunk with a selection of Tapas.

We have several racks which might appeal to you but you need to decide what area it’s going to fit into before you commit to the purchase. We also offer a range of wine racks which can be built up and stacked on top of each other to fill the area. These we can offer in stainless steel, or wooden with metal joining pieces.

The most popular wrought iron wine rack we stock holds 23 bottles and features an ornate design that curves at the top. The size is 330mm wide by 980mm high. The design of the rack is such that the bottles are slightly sloping downwards. This means the cork is completely covered with the wine and this will keep it moist. If the cork were to dry out we would have a disaster as air could get into the bottle and as a result the wine would turn to vinegar as the air oxidises the wine. Most of the wine racks we sell allow the wine to remain in contact with the cork for this reason.

We would strongly recommend that you attach the wrought iron wine rack to the wall especially if it’s in an area where it could be knocked. There is nothing worse than broken wine bottles and loosing all that fantastic wine! Whilst all the wrought iron wine rack is of free standing design, we suggest you secure it to a wall for safety’s sake.
