Selection Wine Kit

In the early 1990’s two brothers in Canada called Doug and Ross Toucher decided to produce a top quality range of wine kits and the Selection wine kit was born. No sacrifice was made on quality and only the best juice was used. The previous largest wine kit was 7.5 litres and this was to be doubled. The kit holds a mammoth 15 litres of juice. This is made up of 14 litres of fresh grape and one litre of grape concentrate. The one litre is taken from nine litres of grape which is reduced down. When you get the selection wine kit home and ready to make you add back 8 litres of water making the full 23 litres of wine you are about to make. This is why the quality is so good. We would also say that the manufacturers have also put special attention into the type of yeast, oak chips, bentonite, and finings to make sure these are going to maintain the quality of this product.

The Selection wine kit range is broken into two types; the first is the International and the second is the original range. The International range takes certain grapes which come from a specific country. In the original range we have Sauvignon Blanc Piesporter Style Luna Bianca Chardonnay/Semillon White Merlot Vieux Chateau du Roi Valpolicella Style Pinot Noir Luna Rossa Chianti Style Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Barolo Style International Argentine Malbec Australian Cabernet SauvignonAustralian Cabernet/Shiraz Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon Chilean Merlot French Merlot Italian Amarone Italian Montepulciano Italian Sangiovese South African Pinotage Spanish Rioja Australian Chardonnay Chilean Chardonnay Italian Pinot Grigio.

The Selection wine kit range is the world’s best selling premium kit and whilst many have tried to copy the range not many have been very successful. A new range was created about 5 years ago with the launch of the Selection Estate series which takes a grape from a specific vineyard and then this will produce a high quality wine which will be the same as one you can buy. For example we have Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough Estate in New Zealand. This has once again moved the Selection wine kit into new un-chartered territory.
