Hoping to find a home brew shop? Well there are not many of them left so if you do get to visit one then treat it with lots of TLC. These shops were really popular in the early 80’s and the business was booming but of recent times they have slowed in popularity which is down to the amount of cheap booze being available and the fact people have become more lazy and can’t be bothered to do anything. This however is changing as people are far more conscious of what they are eating and drinking and really want to know what they are putting into their body.

If you want to make your own wine or beer then you will need a home brew shop. In the shop you will find it’s just like an Aladdin’s cave. There are so many interesting products you will just love the time you will spend in the home brew shop. You will also find that the people who run these shops are very passionate about the business and they have a wealth of information which they are only to happy to share with you.

What sort of things will you find in the home brew shop? Well the main things will be beer kits, wine kits and liqueur and spirit flavouring. You will also see lots of equipment for making these kits and our home brew shop even have an extensive range of equipment such as a wine press. These vary in size from the small 1.2 litre capacity right up to 63 litres. These are big and it will take at least two people to move them.

Our home brew shop, which is based in Chesterfield, often have open days/nights where we put on wine tasting and just recently we had a liqueur and spirit tasting to coincide with the launch of the new Stillspirits range. It was a great evening and gave our regular customers a chance to try before they buy. It all adds to the fun you can find in a home brew shop!! So whilst we are big with internet sales we still love to see our customers at the shop.
